The Community Connect Gardening Program provides an affordable gardening maintenance service to people who are frail, aged or who have a disability and living on the Northern Beaches. The service provides general gardening maintenance along with advice on how to plan and modify "easy-care" solutions which reduce maintenance, enabling people to remain in their own homes.
Our service provides general maintenance such as weeding, pruning, re-potting and improvement of access.
Our clients are encouraged to implement easy care steps which not only reduce maintenance and improve overall enjoyment of the garden, but will engage clients in managing their own plan to remain in their own home.
Our gardens have improved vigour for the benefit of our Clients and Environment alike.
We do not undertake tree lopping.

The day to day operations are carried out by paid staff. Gardening work is provided by our teams of volunteers who garden on Monday to Thursday and some Saturdays. Our volunteers endeavour to give a minimum of 3 hours work each. However, many of our teams contribute considerably more. We give our volunteers guidelines regarding Community Connect Gardening methods. They have the right to decline work that they feel is beyond their job description.
